It is right next to the Sants station.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Parc_de_Joan_Miro\"><\/span>Joan Mir\u00f3 Park<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Also known as Parc de l\u2019Escorxador, because it stands on the site of the old slaughterhouse. Its most recognizable feature is the sculpture <strong>Dona and Ocell<\/strong> by Joan Mir\u00f3, a colorful ceramic roof that rises above a pond.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Carrer_de_Sants_y_el_mercado\"><\/span>Carrer de Sants and the market<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Sants Street<\/strong> It is one of Barcelona's longest shopping streets, lined with all kinds of stores. Nearby are the <strong>Sants Market<\/strong> and Pla\u00e7a de Sants, which are great places to get a sense of the neighborhood's daily life.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cultura_de_barrio_Cotxeres_y_Can_Batllo\"><\/span>Neighborhood Culture: Cotxeres and Can Batll\u00f3<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sants Bus Stations:<\/strong> a former streetcar depot that has been converted into a cultural center, featuring exhibitions and activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Can Batll\u00f3:<\/strong> a former industrial site in La Bordeta, revitalized by local residents as a community space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"La_Festa_Major_de_Sants\"><\/span>The Sants Festival<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In late August, several streets in the neighborhood compete for the best decorations. Residents spend months preparing their streets using recycled materials and increasingly elaborate themes. If you're in Barcelona around that time, it's definitely worth checking out.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Como_llegar\"><\/span>How to Get There<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sants is very well connected: Sants Station (trains, high-speed trains, and Metro lines L3 and L5) and the stops at Pla\u00e7a de Sants (L1 and L5), Hostafrancs (L1), and Pla\u00e7a del Centre (L3).
